Action supported by EU
Overall objective: Contribute to regional partnerships and cooperation towards a common cultural environment where common values and the richness of Europe’s cultural diversity are shared and valued.
Specific Objective: Enhanced relations among regional youth for better sharing of cultural values of different regions in the Black Sea Basin and increased youth education on the core values of the EU.
Up to 40 Youth Centers/Clubs (YCs) in the target countries of the region, directly covering more than 2,300 youth from both urban and rural areas of the joint Action partner countries.
The final beneficiaries of the joint Action will be young people aged between 18 – 28 years in the target countries/regions who will recieve peer to peer trainings and have the possibility to build productive relations with youth across Black Sea Basin region. Estimated number of the Action’s final beneficiaries is up to 8,000 young individuals.
The results of the Action will be:
Result 1. Increased awareness and appreciation of the youth regarding fundamental values of EU and the rich cultural diversity in the Black Sea Basin.
Result 2. Enhanced ability of the youth to participate in healthy discussions and debates with youth from target countries of the Black Sea Basin.
Result 3. Creation of an extended network of Youth Clubs/Centres in the Black Sea Basin for enhanced cooperation.
The main activities for Result 1 will include training programs aimed at enhancing awearness of young people on the fundamental values of EU and Action partner countries and organisation of an intrarregional forum aimed at enhancing aweraness on the rich cultural heritage and diversity in the Black Sea Basin.
The main activities for Result 2 will be training programs aimed at increasing the ability of young individuals regarding argumentation and art of debating. This will alow them to effectively get engaged in discussions with youth from different bakgrounds and cultures without disrespecting others and conflicts.
The main activities for Result 3 will involve oganisation of an intraregional conference where youth centers can meet each other discuss ways of cooperation for promotion of increased acceptance and respect for cultural diversity in the region, developing a website as an online forum, selection of a coordinating board for coordinating the network and forum activities beyond project lifetime.
The activities of the action can be divided into five thematic groups, namely:
- Activity group 1. (Increased awareness and appreciation)
- Activity group 2. (Enhanced ability of youth to participate)
- Activity group 3. (Extended networking of Youth Centers)
- Activity group 4. (Visibility activities)
- Activity group 5. (Managerial activities)
Activity group 1: will be aimed at enhancing the awareness and appreciation of youth regarding the fundamental values of EU and the rich cultural diversity in the Black Sea Basin. Among others, trainings will be provided to youth on the central values of EU as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. Youth will be taught to understand the basis on which sustainable cooperation and development has been made possible in the European Union.
Also activities will be implemented to teach young people on the rich cultural diversity in the Basin, focusing on the partner countries. During the "Know Your Neighbour Know Yourself" intraregional forum youth groups from different countries will have the opportunity to present and share their values with groups from different countries. Interesting presentation on the cultural heritage, cuisine, and clothing will be developed by youth groups and presented by themselves.
The Armenian youth (having had the YES youth clubs experience) trained in Heifer model for sustainable development will be sharing the experience and knowledge on Heifer methodology and values across the regional youth network. The overall outreach is estimated up to 8,000 individuals to be educated on Heifer values and development model.

Activity group 2: will be aimed at enhancing the ability of youth to participate in healthy discussions and debates with youth from other regions. Knowing each other is extremely important, yet, it is not enough for sustainable cooperation. Therefore, young people will at this stage be assisted in enhancing their communication skills, and skills regarding public speaking, argumentation and art of debating. This will encourage them to get involved in healthy dialogues where different opinions are respected and cooperation is possible.

Activity group 3: will be aimed at creation of an extended network of the youth in the Black Sea Basin for enhanced cooperation. When mutual understating and appreciation is successfully created, youth centers will need to be assisted in building their relationships with their counter parts in other regions. This group of activities will therefore be aimed at tacking way barriers to cooperation between youth centers and providing them with the right (technological) means and channels to reach and connect with each other and start cooperation. In line with this a regional conference for the youth centers will be organized where they will have the possibility to and discuss ways of cooperation for promotion of increased acceptance and respect for cultural diversity in the region. Also a website will be created which will serve as an online forum where YCs will have the opportunity to raise issues and organize online debating and discussion sessions, inform and involve each other on their activities and organize joint cultural events.

Activity group 4: will set out to guarantee the proper visibility of the action and the EU financing provided to it. This group will involve a diverse set of activities to ensure that the action is noticed by all stakeholders and the results are accessible to them and contribute to the reach and effectiveness of the action.

3.3. Eight (8) Video Infomercials, 2 per country (in local languages, and English)

Activity group 5: Will involve all the management activities as ensuring the implementation and coordination of the entire action, sound quality and financial management of the whole action and management of project documentation and monitoring of project outputs and results.
4.1. One (1) inception meeting with the joint Action Staff and Partners

All partners will be responsible for the implementation of a balanced share of the Action activities in their region/country and also different interregional activities in the framework of the joint Action. In addition to the realization of field activities, partners will be responsible for respective visibility activities and managerial activities in their region. The managerial tasks of all partners will include ensuring oversight and coordination of the activities in their region and sound contacts with the other (lead) partner(s), monitoring and evaluation and reporting activities.
